This purebred breed association is first and foremost designed to showcase the foundation bred Appaloosa horse, to see the Appaloosa breed reach a scientifically accepted purebred status, and secure its rightful place in a continuing history. 

IPAA honors those dedicated breeders, enthusiasts, and promoters who years before us worked so diligently in their attempts to keep this magnificent breed alive and recognized.  Without those efforts we can only speculate where the Appaloosa would be now, but what we can say with surety is:

From this day forward, the Appaloosa horse, the By Blood Appaloosa Horse,
will be welcomed, protected, and revered
with  open arms by the
International Purebred Appaloosa Association and its supporters.
